Latino QBs Make History in the Heisman Race

Latino athletes made history this year, with three of the top five Heisman Trophy contenders coming from the Latino community, an unprecedented milestone in college football. Leading the group was Fernando Mendoza (QB, Indiana), who captured the Heisman Trophy, alongside standout quarterbacks Diego Pavia (QB, Vanderbilt). Rounding out the elite field was Jacob Rodriguez (LB, Texas Tech), recognized as one of the nation’s top defenders. This isn't luck, it's a testament to the outstanding Latino talent pipeline fueling America's top sports.
